The silver finish can range from a matte finish, to semi-bright, or bright. Silver is the best conductor of all the metals, however is not a precious metal, therefore oxidizes rapidly. Our silver plated product maintains high quality standards for durability through a series of adhesion tests. Our silver plating also provides excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as soldering capability for a wide range of connectors and contacts. The silver plating amount for a connector generally consists of anything from a “silver flash” (50-150 micro inches), up to .0003 or 300 micro inches of silver.
