Tin Plating

Spec-Elec plating has the facilities to offer 2 different types of tin for connectors and contacts. The first being a matte finish tin called Stannous Sulfate, the second is a bright which gives the product a nice silvery shine, while potentially decreasing the overall efficiency of the connectors and contacts. Tin plating offers good electrical conductivity as well as protecting various types of connectors and contacts from corrosion. Our tin products also go through a series of adhesions tests to guarantee performance and long lasting durability. The amount of tin we generally put on the product ranges from 100 to 400 micro inches depending on the customer demands.
